Following the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II yesterday afternoon, there will be a period of mourning followed by a state funeral which is expected to take place on Monday 19 September 2022.
While this will be is a national day of mourning, it is not scheduled to be a bank holiday although it is possible that the government will be make announcement to that effect in the coming days.
