Changes to National Minimum Wage

National minimum wage rates are set to increase from 1 April 2021 by about 2.2%. In addition, the qualifying age for the top rate (referred to as the National Living Wage) shall be reduced from 25 years to 23 years. The full figures are as follows:


23 and over (National Living Wage): £8.91

21 to 22: £8.36

18 to 20: £6.56

Under 18: £4.62

Apprentice: £4.30
