Duty to Provide PPE

Updated: May 31, 2022

New regulations came into effect from 6 April 2022 which extend the duty on employers to provide suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) to all workers and not just employees. This obligation applies where there is a health and safety risk to the worker in the work that they carry out for the employer and employers are prohibited from charging workers for the PPE.
